Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and the company that operates Rasket (“Rasket”, “we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Rasket website, dashboard or API you accept these terms. If you use Rasket for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you may do so. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

The service

Rasket is an API and dashboard for sending and receiving email: verified sending domains, sending and scheduling, templates, contacts and broadcasts, automations, delivery events and signed webhooks. We may change, add or remove features, and we describe what the service does in our documentation.

Your account

  • Give a real email address and keep your password and API keys secret.
  • You are responsible for everything done with your account and your team’s API keys. Revoke a key you think is exposed, and tell us at info@rasket.com if your account has been used without your permission.
  • A team’s admins control its members, keys, domains and billing.

Acceptable use

You may send only email its recipients expect. In particular:

  • Transactional email must be triggered by something the recipient did, such as signing up, resetting a password or making a purchase.
  • Marketing email and broadcasts go only to people who agreed to receive them. Do not send to purchased, rented, shared, scraped or harvested lists.
  • Honour every unsubscribe. A broadcast cannot be sent without an unsubscribe link and your postal address, and Rasket adds one-click unsubscribe headers to it.
  • Send only from domains you have verified with us.
  • Follow the email and privacy laws that apply to you and your recipients, and keep a record of consent where they require one.

Do not use Rasket to:

  • send phishing, malware, or attachments that run code;
  • impersonate another person or organisation, or mislead recipients about who you are;
  • send anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • get around sending limits, suppression lists or our checks, including by spreading sending across several accounts;
  • reach another team’s data, or disrupt or overload the service.

Sending limits and automatic enforcement

Sending limits are earned. A new account can send 100 emails a day, 300 a month, one a second, and ten recipients per email. The limits rise, up to your plan’s, once your email address and a domain are verified and your account builds a sending history with low bounce and complaint rates; the highest tier also needs a paid plan and our review.

We check every message before sending it. A message that fails the content checks — for example, one carrying an executable attachment — is refused. We also watch every team’s delivery over a rolling 24 hours:

  • A bounce rate of 4% or more (over at least 100 recipients) or a complaint rate of 0.08% or more (over at least 1,000) restricts the team: its limits fall to a tenth and one email a second, and marketing sends stop.
  • A bounce rate of 8% or more (over at least 100 recipients) or a complaint rate of 0.3% or more (over at least 500) suspends the team: all sending stops.
  • A sudden spike in volume, repeated rejections by receiving servers, repeated content blocks or a high share of already-suppressed recipients can also restrict a team. A new account is suspended at half these thresholds.

A restriction lifts by itself after 7 days below the warning levels. A suspension is lifted only after our review. Recipients who bounce permanently or complain are added to your suppression list, and we do not send to them while they are there.

Plans and billing

  • Prices are listed in US dollars on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe; the Free plan needs no card. Enterprise plans are invoiced.
  • An upgrade takes effect straight away, charged for the rest of the period. A downgrade, or a cancellation back to the Free plan, takes effect at the end of the period.
  • Without pay-as-you-go, sending stops at your monthly quota until the period resets or you upgrade. If you turn pay-as-you-go on, you can send past the quota, up to a ceiling, and the extra email is billed at the end of the period in blocks of 1,000 at your plan’s rate.
  • If a payment fails, the team is held to the Free plan’s limits until it is paid. If Stripe’s retries are exhausted, the subscription ends and the team moves to the Free plan.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Rasket at any time and cancel a paid plan from the billing portal. Deleting a team or your account is available on request at info@rasket.com.

We may restrict or suspend a team as described above, and we may suspend or close an account, revoke its API keys or disable a domain if these terms are broken, if its sending harms other senders’ delivery or the service, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we tell the team’s admins why.

Your content and data

You keep all rights in the email, contacts and other content you put into Rasket. You allow us to store, process and transmit it only as needed to provide, secure and support the service. You are responsible for having the right to send email to your recipients and to give us their data. We keep and delete that data as the Privacy Policy describes; a copy of a team’s data is available on request.

AI assist

AI assist is off until a team admin turns it on. Its suggestions are generated by a language model and can be wrong: review a subject line, draft or diagnosis before you rely on it or send it.

Disclaimer

Rasket is provided “as is” and “as available”. Email delivery depends on recipients’ mail servers and on providers we do not control, so we do not promise that any message will be delivered, or delivered by a particular time, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Indemnity

You will cover our reasonable costs of claims brought by others that arise from the email you send, the content you store, or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the place where the company that operates Rasket is established, and its courts hear any dispute about them.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update the date at the top of this page.

Using Rasket after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
